National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) is a ten-day programme of science, engineering and technology events and activities across the UK aimed at people of all ages. In 2011
it will run from 11–20 March and the theme will be'Communication'.

International Year of Chemistry 2011
The International Year of Chemistry 2011 (IYC 2011) will commemorate the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to humankind. This recognition for chemistry was made official by the United Nations in December 2008.
Events for the year are being coordinated by IUPAC, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, and by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization.

SELB Winners of STEM Challenge 2010
Congratulations to Armstrong Primary School in Armagh who were the winners of the Final held in the Odyssey Pavilion, Belfast on Monday 21st June. Together with Our Lady's Primary School Tullysaran, Richmount Primary School, Roan St Patrick's Primary School and St Mary's Primary Banbridge they represented our SELB area schools.More images of the Final:
